Huntingdon Valley (HV) saved the end of the season to start playing its best baseball of the season. HV has won 5 of its last 7 games and is in control of its own playoff hopes with a win this Wednesday at home against Northampton. HV pounded out 19 hits along with every player on the team scoring a run in a 20-2 rout of the visting Upper Makefiled (UM).
HV recieved huge offensive numbers from Matt Acker (1 for 1, 3 Walks), Jordan Leiber (3 for 4, 3 runs scored and 4 RBI's), Harrison Roesser (3 for 4, 3 RBI's), Bryce Horn (2 for 3, 3 RBI's), Connor Killion (2 for 3, 3 runs scored, 2 RBI's), Justan Azran (2 for 3, 2 runs scored), Brock Landes (3 for 3, 2 RBI's), Victor Tang (1 for 2, Triple, 2 RBI's)
HV received another great pitching performence from its 1-2 punch of Horn (3 IP, 2 hits, 7 K's) and Brady (2 IP, 1 hit, 2 K's).
In the top of the 1st inning Horn faced 4 batters with no trouble to get through the inning. The bottom of the inning HV went right to work scoring 6 runs. After lead off walk to Acker, Leiber followed with an RBI single. Roesser then hit a run scoring double to make it 2-0. Horn walked to set up Killion's 2 run double. Azran ended the scoring by driving in a run and stealing home to end the scoring.
The 2nd inning Horn continued his dominance by striking out the side. The bottom of the inning HV put 3 more runs on the board to take a commanding 9-0 lead. The spark plug Aker walked again to start the inning and after stealing 2nd and 3rd scored on yet another Leiber single. Leiber scored on a single by Roesser. After Roesser was cut down on the bases Killion singled and came around to score on a Landes single which completed the scoring.
The 3rd inning UM scored its 2 runs on the day in the top of the inning. The bottom of the inning HV got the runs back plus one by scoring 3 times to take a 12-2 lead. Matt Ginsburg and Albert Glasgow both singled to start the inning then both came around when Tang blasted a 3 run triple. Tang came in to score after an Acker RBI single to end the scoring.
The top of the 4th inning HV sent Brady to the hill. Brady went through the inning with no trouble. HV put up 8 runs in the bottom of the inning to put the game out of reach. The inning started with a walk to Killion and a single by Azran. Landes drove Killion in for the innings first run. After 3 walks, which plated 2 more runs, Tang hit a sac fly for another run. Acker walked to the bases yet again. Lieber followed with a 2 run double. Roesser then singled to load the bases for Horn. Horn hit a 3 run triple over the center fielders head to end the scoring.
The top of the 5th inning Brady continued to pitch well by facing 3 batters to end the game.
The game ended due to mercey rule.
HV has its season on the line this Wednesday when they play host to Nothampton in a win and your in the playoffs game.

Great Showing By Predator All-Stars Horn, Acker and Killion

On a very hot Saturday afternoon the Huntingdon Valley Predator All-Stars showed what all-stars are all about.
Bryce Horn was the starting pitcher for the "Blue" all-star team. Horn gave up no earned runs in an inning of work and caught a line drive smash right to him. Horn was 0-2 at the bat with a fly out.
Matt Acker made a couple really nice plays in the infield and was 0-2 at the plate with 2 hard hit balls that where fielded.
Connor Killion played first base and right field made really nice plays and was 1-2 at the plate with a base hit to left field.
HV showed how far they have come in a short time and proved that they belong with the "Big Boys"
Congrats to the players.

Ginsburg, Brady Spark Huntingdon Valley in Victory Over Levittown American 12-7
On a beautiful Wednesday night Huntingdon Valley (HV) used timely hitting and great pitching to beat Levittown American (LA) 12-7 in a must win game. HV, who is on a roll winners of 3 out of their last 4 and 4 out of 6, got 2 out 2 rbi singles off the bats of Matt Ginsburg ( 2 for 2, 3 rbi's) and Nicky Brady (1 for 3, 2 rbi). Not only did Brady (3 IP, 3 K's) produce one of the key hits in the game but also slammed the door shut with 3 innings of pitching. HV seems to be playing much better as the season goes along and are now looking like a playoff team. HV is holding onto the last available playoff spot with 3 games left to be played.
In to the top of the first inning Starting pitcher Bryce Horn (3 IP, 6 K's) mowed down LA with 2 strikeouts. The other out came when Harrison Roesser made a very good running catch in centerfield. After an out Horn singled in Acker to tie the game at 4. Azran followed with an rbi ground out. After the 2nd out Ginsburg came to the plate in what was the most important at bat of the game. The 6th inning Brady stayed in control and sent LA home quick facing 4 batters.

On a day when Huntingdon Valley (HV) had a double header HV ran out of gas and fell to Levittown Cont (LC) 13-7 in the 2nd game. HV put up a great fight and was as close as 4-4 in the visiting home 4th inning before they gave up 9 runs. HV received great pitching again from Starter Bryce Horn (3 IP, 3K's 4 Earned Runs) and reliever Nicky Brady (2 IP, 2K's 4 Earned Runs)
The first inning HV went down in turn 1-2-3. The bottom of the 1st LC scored 4 times to take a 4-0 lead
HV bounced right back in the top of the 2nd inning and plated 2 runs when they received singles from Harrison Roesser (3 for 3, 2 rbi's) and Bryce Horn (1 for 1, 2 rbi's). Horn set down LC in order 1-2-3 in the bottom of the inning.
The 3rd inning HV tied the score at 4 when Matt Acker and Connor Killion both walked when with 2 outs Roesser singled in Acker. Horn followed with a bases loaded walk to end the scoring for HV. The bottom of the inning Horn faced 4 batters and got out of the inning with no trouble.

Huntingdon Valley Pounds Out 15 Hits and 18 Walks in 26-21 Victory Over Newtown #2
On a Sunday morning which Huntingdon Valley (HV) had a double header they went to work early and often in beating Newtown 26-21. HV scored in every inning but left their gloves at home and needed a late rally to put Newtown away.
HV got a great performence on the offensive side of the ball from Matt Acker (1 for 1, 5 walks) Jordan Leiber (1 for 2, 4 walks) Harrison Roesser (2 for 4, 4 runs scored, 5 RBI's) Bryce Horn (2 for 4, 4 RBI's) Justin Azran (3 for 5, 3 RBI's) Brock Landes (2 for 5, 2 runs Scored, 2 RBI's) Albert Glasgow (2 for 4) Matt Ginsburg (2 for 4, 3 runs scored, 2 RBI's)

The 4th inning HV responded with 3 runs to take a 17-14 lead when Ginsburg blasted a run scoring double followed by a Acker rbi single to complete the scoring. Newtown scored 1 time in the bottom of the inning to make the score 17-15.
The 5th inning seemed to calm the storm when both teams combinded for 1 run and that being an RBI single by Azran. Going into the 6th and final inning HV held a 18-15 lead.
The 6th inning was the best inning of the day for HV when they put up 8 runs to take a 26-15 lead. The innings big blows came from Roesser who had a 2 run single and Horn who cleared the bases with a 2 run double. Azran then followed with a rbi single which knocked in Horn. Ginsburg knocked in Azran with an rbi single that ended the scoring. Newtown scored 6 runs in the bottom of the inning when HV continued to play bingo with errors and fill the cards.
HV won the game 26-21 and will head to Levvitown Cont. for the 2nd game of the doubleheader.

Brady Spells Relief for Huntingdon Valley in 11-10 Win
On a day when Huntingdon Valley (HV) needed pitching relief Nicky Brady ( 4 IP, 6 K's) stepped up to answer the call. Brady came in relief for Bryce Horn (2 IP 3 K's) and pitched 4 flawless innings to earn a victory for an ever improving HV team over Newtown's #1 team. Horn, who pitched 4 innings the day before, pitched the first 2 innings before Brady took over and lead HV to a 11-10 victory. HV needed an amazing outfield play from Harrison Roesser to preserve the victory. HV pounded out 10 hits, had 7 walks and kept the presure on Newtown all game.
In the top of the 1st inning HV received singles by Connor Killion and Roesser ( 2 for 4) to only leave them on base to end the inning. In the bottom of the inning Horn pitched out of a 2nd and 3rd jam to shut Newtown down.
The 2nd inning HV scored 3 times when Horn walked and with 2 outs Matt Acker (3 for 4) and Jordan Lieber ( 1 for 2) drove in runs before Leiber stole home to end the scoring. The bottom of the inning is where Newtown scored 6 times on 3 hits and took a 6-3 lead heading to the 3rd inning.

The bottom of the inning is when HV put Brady on the mound which would be the turning point of the game. Brady allowed 1 run on an error to keep HV in front 10-7
The 4th inning HV went 1-2-3. The bottom of the inning was answered by Brady when he struck out the side on 12 pitches.
The 5th inning HV scored what turned out to be the winning run when Albert Glasgow (1 for 2) singled and scored when Azran put the ball in play to score Glasgow. The bottom of the inning Newtown scored 3 times to cut the lead to 11-10
The 6th inning started when Landes singled and was earased when Horn hit into a double play. The bottom of the inning was very hard to watch for Assisstant Coach Mike Landes who was seen on the bench hiding behind 56 pound Horn. The inning started when the lead off batter hit a gaping ball to the fence to only be earsed when center fielder Roesser threw a strike from the fence to the shortstop Acker for a tag out. After that play it took the sails out of Newtown and Brady closed the door with 2 more strike outs and a 11-10 victory.

The 3rd inning HV batted around plus 2 and but up 7 runs. The inning started with a single off the bat of Justin Azran which was followed by a single by Roesser. After Brock Landes (2 for 4) sacrificed both over on a perfect bunt Horn followed with a walk to load the bases. Victor Tang walked in the first run of the inning which followed another walk from Brady. Acker followed with a run scoring single then bases loaded walks to Leiber and Killion ended the scoring and but HV in front 10-6. The bottom of the inning is when HV put Brady on the mound which would be the turning point of the game. Brady allowed 1 run on an error to keep HV in front 10-7
The 4th inning HV went 1-2-3. The bottom of the inning was answered by Brady when he struck out the side on 12 pitches.
The 5th inning HV scored what turned out to be the winning run when Albert Glasgow (1 for 2) singled and scored when Azran put the ball in play to score Glasgow. The bottom of the inning Newtown scored 3 times to cut the lead to 11-10
The 6th inning started when Landes singled and was earased when Horn hit into a double play. The bottom of the inning was very hard to watch for Assisstant Coach Mike Landes who was seen on the bench hiding behind 56 pound Horn. The inning started when the lead off batter hit a gaping ball to the fence to only be earsed when center fielder Roesser threw a strike from the fence to the shortstop Acker for a tag out. After that play it took the sails out of Newtown and Brady closed the door with 2 more strike outs and a 11-10 victory.

HV Falls Short Against Bensalem in 6-5 Loss Despite Terrific Performence From Bryce Horn
In a game with many close and bad calls from the umpire Huntingdon Valley (HV) comes up short 6-5 at Bensalem on a Saturday night under the lights.
In a game that HV had no business losing, getting out to a 5-0 lead heading into the 5th innning, and almost closing the deal until Bensalem scored 2 runs in the home 6th to take the victory over a game HV team.
In the first inning HV scored first when Jordan Lieber was hit by a pitch and then stole home on a wild pitch to take a quick 1-0 lead. In the bottom of the first Bensalem went down fast when Bryce Horn (3IP, 2 Hits, 5 K's, 1 ER) used excellent conrtol in striking out 3 batters.
In the 2nd inning HV went right back to work when Horn (2 for 2) singled and stole home to plate HV's only run in the inning. In the bottom of the inning Bensalem went 3 up 3 down when Horn recorded 2 more strikeouts.

Ackers 5 Hits and Killion's 8 RBI's Lead Huntingdon Valley To First Victory Of Season 18-8 vs Warwick
Huntingdon Valley (HV) won its first game of the young season with a 18-8 victory over Warwick. HV pounded out 17 hits including 5 from Matt Acker (5 for 5 with 5 Runs Scored), 3 From Conner Killion (3 for 4 with 8 Runs Batted In, 2 triples) and 2 each from Jordan Leiber (2 for 4 with 3 runs scored), Brock Landes (2 for 4) and Bryce Horn (2 for 3, double triple, 3 rbi's ). HV also got yet another strong pitching performances from Horn (3 IP 2 K's and 2 ER's and Nick Brady (3 IP 4 K's and 3 ER)
HV scored in the first inning when Killion knocked in 2 runs with a 2 run single and came around to score on a run scoring single off the bat from Landes. In the bottom of the inning Warwick scored 1 run after an error. Going into the 2nd the score was 3-1 HV
The 2nd inning was a big one for HV when they posted 6 runs. After walks to Brady and Victor Tang and singles by Acker and Lieber this set the table for Killion to clear the bases with a 3 run triple which was the big blow in the inning. In the bottom of the inning after another couple fielding errors Horn helped himself with a diving stop of a ground ball off the mound to end the inning. the score after 2 innings was 9-3

Strong Pitching From Horn and Brady Not Enough in 5-3 Loss to Pennsbury
After 2 staight games in which Huntingdon Valley (HV) looked as if it was going to be a long saeason they put it all behind them and played winning style baseball in a 5-3 loss at the hands of Pennsbury. HV recieved wonderful pitching from Bryce Horn and Nick Brady. Pennsbury looked surprised to see such an agressive HV team and almost took them to lightly. HV's rally came up a little short in the bottom of the 5th inning when they had a chance to tie or win the game.
In the top of the first inning HV struck first after recieving a leadoff single from Matt Acker followed by a single by Jordan Leiber. After a walk to Harrison Roesser HV had the bases loaded when a wild pitch scored Acker then with 2 outs Leiber was cut down at the plate on another wild pitch scoring attempt. In the bottom of the first inning Pitcher Bryce Horn (3 Innings Pitched 2 Hits allowed 7 Strikeouts and 2 Earned Runs) was in control when with 2 outs Pennsbury got a "Texas League" single to plate there only run of the inning to tie the score at 1-1
In the top of the 2nd inning HV went quick 1-2-3. In the bottom of the inning Horn continued to stay in control sitting Pennsbury down in order as well.

Huntingdon Valley Predators Comes Up Short Against Horsham 22-9
On first early game of the season (10 am Start) Huntingdon Valley (HV) just didnt have enough power to compete with Horsham as they lost 22-9. Horsham scored first and in every inning. HV did put up a fight as far as the home 4th inning when they scored 6 runs to show that there is a lot of fight in the Predators.
Horsham scored runs in the first inning. Pitcher Nick Brady did a great job through many close pitches, a very very very small strike zone and a close call when Catcher Brock Landes gunned down a runner at 2nd base to only have him called safe. HV showed nothing but heart as they battled back in the bottom of the inning when Matt Acker (2 for 2, 3 runs scored) and "The little engine that could" Jordan Leiber (2 for 2, 2 runs scored) both got on base and scored on RBI's off the bats of Connor Killion (2 for 2, 3 RBI's) and Justin Azran.
Horsham scored again in the top of the 2nd inning until Pitcher Bryce Horn ( 2 Innings Pitched 5 Strikeouts and 2 earned runs) entered the game with the bases loaded no out jam and stuck out the next 3 batters to prevent any more harm. HV went down in order in the bottom of the inning.

Huntingdon Valley Suffers First Loss Of The Season At The Hands Of Doyelstown 16-6
On a beautiful Sunday afternoon Huntingdon Valley (HV) suffered its first loss of the season to a very good Doyelstown team 16-6. HV was as close as 5-3 going into the top of the 5th when Doyelstown exploded for 11 runs. HV pitcher Bryce Horn kept HV close pitching 4 innings giving up 3 earned runs while striking out 6 batters. HV scored their first runs of the season in the 4th inning when Harrison Roesser (1for 2 and 3 RBI's) blasted a run scoring triple over the head of the left fielder. Roesser scored on the next play when Justin Azran (1 for 4 and 2 RBI's) singled to left field. After Doyelstown scored 11 runs HV bounced right back 3 runs in the 5th inning but it was a little too late. HV received a very strong performance at the plate from the ever improving Matt Acker 1-2 with 2 runs scored. On defense Right Fielder Jordan Leiber turned a great doudle play while catching a line drive and throwing a strike to the first baseman.

HVAA 9 Year Old Baseball Practice this Week 3/16-3/22
Dear Fellow Parents,
Here is the schedule for the week. We will have outside practice on Tuesday March 17th from 4:45-6:30 at our home field (Ridgeway Park). We will have a practice game on Saturday March 21st 4:00 at home against Warwick. Be at the field no later then 3:30. We will also have another practice game on Sunday March 22nd against Southampton also at home at 1:30. Be at the field no later then 1:00. If you cant make something please let me know.

Practice Tomorrow Sunday March 15th
We will be having 2 practices tomorrow. The first practice will be at our home field (Ridgeway Park) from 12-2. We will be doing situations and fielding practice. Thr second practice will be from 6-7 at the sportszone. We will be doing hitting and pitching. I hope most can make it.

Practice Game Saturday March 21st Home Against Warwick
We will have a scrimmage game on Saturday March 21st HOME (Ridgeway Park) against Warwick. The game will be at 4:00pm. Be at the game no later then 3:30. Wear your "Free" Team T-Shirts as your uniform.

Last Call For Shirt Orders
Dear Fellow Parents,
I am getting to order the additional shirts wanted for the kids or parents tomorrow. Remember the Hooded sweatshirts are $15 each and the t-shirts are $5. There is no money being made on these and are sold at cost. If you would like to order more please email me what you would want. The Adult sizes are the same as the youth. im pretty sure you are getting tired of washing the shirt everyday so $5 would save a lot of time and money (lol). Let me know. Thanks

This email was sent to me by the HVAA Travel committee. Please read it and let me know if you have a problem with the listing of your child's name or pictures on our "website" or "Blog". I did email this to everyone before and never received any back stating it was a problem. I will throw it out there again. Here is the email...
(Evan and Mike, please be aware that with the information you place on your web site domains, and getting permission, or at least advise, the parents/guardians of the kids information you are displaying for public view. We have had to advise the same with the soccer teams that do the same. Be careful placing kids full names as well as pictures, and other personal information that could compromise their privacy and protection.Thanks Gregg)

Practice Schedule For Week of Monday 3/9-Sunday 3/15
Practice will be Tuesday at the Red Lion Gym 4pm-6pm (Get there when you can) Wednesday still up in the air depending on the weather but would be outside. The rest of the week will be tough but we should be able to get gym time over the weekend. We will also be at the Sportszone on Sunday Night from 6-7.
