Roesser's 3 Hits Not Enough for Huntingdon Valley in 13-7 Loss to Levittown Cont

On a day when Huntingdon Valley (HV) had a double header HV ran out of gas and fell to Levittown Cont (LC) 13-7 in the 2nd game. HV put up a great fight and was as close as 4-4 in the visiting home 4th inning before they gave up 9 runs. HV received great pitching again from Starter Bryce Horn (3 IP, 3K's 4 Earned Runs) and reliever Nicky Brady (2 IP, 2K's 4 Earned Runs)

The first inning HV went down in turn 1-2-3. The bottom of the 1st LC scored 4 times to take a 4-0 lead

HV bounced right back in the top of the 2nd inning and plated 2 runs when they received singles from Harrison Roesser (3 for 3, 2 rbi's) and Bryce Horn (1 for 1, 2 rbi's). Horn set down LC in order 1-2-3 in the bottom of the inning.

The 3rd inning HV tied the score at 4 when Matt Acker and Connor Killion both walked when with 2 outs Roesser singled in Acker. Horn followed with a bases loaded walk to end the scoring for HV. The bottom of the inning Horn faced 4 batters and got out of the inning with no trouble.

With the score tied at 4 to start the 4th HV went down quick after a lead off walk to Justin Azran. The bottom of the inning spelled the end of the day for HV when LC scored 6 times to blow open a close game and take a 10-4 lead.

HV did put up a little fight in the 5th when thet scored 3 runs to close the gap to 10-7. After Acker and Jordan Lieber singled to start the inning roesser singled in Acker for the first run and Horn followed with an Rbi bunt squeeze. LC scored the 3 runs back in the bottom of the inning to take a 13-7 lead

The 6th inning was a quick one for HV but did include a long double off the bat of Albert Glasgow.

HV has its season on the line this Wednesday at home against Levittown American.
