The 2nd inning was the only inning of the game that HV didn't score in but did get a hit from Tang (3 for 4, 2 Rbi's). The bottom of the inning Tang struck out the side.

HV put up 2 runs in the 3rd inning to take a 5-1 lead. Acker doubled and Taylor singled to put runners on 1st and 3rd. Tang worked out of a bases loaded jam in the bottom of the inning while striking out 2 hitters and getting one to end the inning.

The 4th inning was the biggest of the season for Hv when they batted around and scored 10 times. Martindale and Tang Combine on No-Hitter as Huntingdon Valley Blanks Hatboro 5-0

John Martindale (3 IP, 8 K's) and Victor Tang (3 IP, 8 K's) combined on a no hitter as Huntibngdon Valley (HV) shut out visiting Horsham (HH) 5-0 in a Suburban League baseball game. The victory pushed HV's receord to 3-3 and out them in the middle of the pack as far as a playoff seed. HV scored a run in the first inning and 4 runs in the 4th. HV received another huge hit off the bat of Justin Azran (1 for 2, 1 RBI) in the 4th inning to put the game out of reach.

The top of the first inning was like most of the innings, a lot of strikeouts and not many pitches. Martindale mowed down HH 1-2-3 while striking out the side. In the bottom of the inning Martindale (1 for 2) singled with one out and came around to score when the pitcher dropped the ball on a throw back from the catcher. Jacob Taylor (1 for 2) also singled in the inning.

The 2nd inning Martindale continued his superb pitching while yet again striking out the side. The bottom of the inning was a quick one as well. With 2 outs Jordan Leiber (1 for 1) singled but was stranded to end the inning.

The 3rd inning was a little tight for host HV. HH loaded the bases on walks and had a 3-0 count when Martindale bared down and got out of the jam when with 2 outs Taylor made a huge play on a grounder to end the inning. HV had a chance to put some runs up on the board in the bottom of the inning but left 2 runners on base.

The 4th inning Tang took to the hill and walked the first batter of the inning which would be the only batter that would reach base off the ever improving lefty. Tang settled down and struck out 2 of the next 3 hitters to end the inning with no damage. The bottom of the inning was a huge one for HV. Taylor led off with a walk. After stealing 2nd and 3rd he came in on a single off the bat of Harrison Roesser (1 for 2). Roesser then stole 2nd and 3rd and came in when Azran laced a single to center field. After a walk to Leiber and Tang, Brock Landes came to the plate and smoked a ball to left field for another run scoring single which ended the scoring for HV in the inning.

The top of the 5th inning was a fast one for Tang as he struck out the side. The bottom of the inning HV went down in order.

The top of the 6th Tang was still on his game as he struck out the side again.

"I think all the practice in the off season really helped our pitching" Coach Mike Landes said, "I hope it continues, we really need to hit the ball a little better then we have but a win is a win and I'll take it"

HV travel to Plumstead on Sunday for another Suburban League baseball game.
